As the threat of technological disruption becomes more and more real and reports after reports list out the jobs that are supposed to disappear in a matter of decades if not years due to automation and artificial intelligence, some governments have already begun working on realizing the notion of universal basic income so as to make sure technological disruption doesn’t undermine the survival of lower and middle class citizens.
